To qualify for interactive day care or boarding, there are a few rules to ensure the health of all animals.  New Customers, Click Here for Forms.

All dogs must be:

  • 5 months of age or older and done with all puppy shots
  • Spayed or neutered
  • Current on flea/tick prevention
  • In good general health
  • Current on all vaccines (see below for more details)

Vaccinations Requirements:

Pampered Pets Inn will not accept any dogs for boarding, daycare, grooming or training that do not have proof of current rabies, bordetella & distemper vaccination at the time of check in.

See below for further details for each vaccination.

Rabies: Current is defined as being administered within the last 12 or 36 months depending on the type of vaccination previously administered (comes in a 1 year and a 3 year dosage)

Distemper : Current is defined as being administered within the last 12, 24 or 36 months (dosage comes in 1, 2 & 3 year options). If requested by the customer, titer's will also be accepted. Titer levels must be tested annually.

Bordetella:  For boarding and daycare, current is defined as being administered within the last 6 months. Must also be administered 7 days prior to boarding or daycare. Please not that most vets only require bordetella once a year, which is fine for home use. However, since the dogs interact with so many other dogs here, we require it every 6 months. (You can ask your vet for a 6 month version). For grooming and training, current is defined as being administered within the last 12 months. Must also be administered 7 days prior to grooming or training.

Annual Fecal Exam:  We will now be requiring proof of an annual fecal exam for all of our daycare and boarding pets.  Your veterinarian usually performs this along with your pets annual vaccinations and this is to make sure that your pet is free from any intestinal parasites.  Since our furry friends interact with each other on a daily basis here at Pampered Pets Inn, especially in the play yards, we want to make sure that everyone is safe from anything that may be passed from one pet to another. If you have any questions or concerns about types of parasites or how they are transmitted you should speak with your family veterinarian.

Canine Cough Diagnosis

If a dog has been diagnosed with Kennel Cough, they will not be allowed to return to Pampered Pets for boarding, day care or grooming until one full week has past AFTER all antibiotics have been taken (normally 2 weeks total).

If at the time of check in, the dog has any noticeable/visible signs of still being sick, they will be denied access.
