Dog Boarding FAQs
Our Client Portal is very convenient for managing reservations and viewing vaccination status. Haven’t stayed with us before? Fill out a New Client Application to get started. You can also call or text us at (704) 663-3733
We require up-to-date Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper & a negative fecal exam that was completed within the last year. Additionally, your dog must be on a flea, tick, & heartworm/intestinal parasite preventative.
You can drop off any time our lobby is open, although we ask that you drop off at least 30 minutes before we close so we can get your pet settled. Find our lobby hours here.
We have a check out time of 1 PM. If you need a later check-out, we will extend your pet’s activities for the day for a daycare fee. Much like a hotel, we schedule incoming guest availability based on outgoing guests. We also need time to thoroughly clean and prepare suites for incoming guests.
Of course! We would love to show you our facility. Visit during our lobby hours and our staff will be happy to take you on a tour and answer any questions you may have.
We can accommodate multiple-pet families and have larger suites that allow for more than one dog to stay.
We provide the bedding and the bowls, so all you need to bring for your pup is their food. To keep your pet on their same diet routine, we ask that you bag & label each serving separately with the pet’s first and last name. If there is a difference between bags, include the specific mealtime (AM, Lunch, PM) or specific date to be given. If you wish to bring treats, include them in the bagged meals. You can find more information about our food bagging policy here.
We provide comfortable fleece bedding so please do not bring beds as they can be difficult for us to clean. We allow one toy or blanket as a comfort item for your dog, we just ask that it be clean and labeled with their name on it.
You’re more than welcome to check on your pet while you’re away! Email your request to info@pamperedpetsinn.com or text us at (704) 663-3733 and we’ll get back to you with an update. For a more detailed update on your pet’s stay and a photo, you can add on a Report Card to your dog’s visit and choose the frequency you would like to receive them. We are also very active on Facebook & Instagram and post photos and videos all week long.
If you would like to bring treats, please include them in any bagged and labeled meals for your pet. We also offer snack time which you can add onto any daycare or lodging visit. Choose from frozen yogurt or a housemade non-dairy option.
We can accommodate pets with special needs. Please speak to our staff about how we can help make your pet comfortable during his/her stay. Depending on your pet’s condition, we may request that you visit us prior to the stay so we can evaluate the needs of your pet and ensure that we are the best fit.
Yes! Many of our guests take medication and we have trained staff who are able to administer them for a small fee. We are able to administer a range of medication including topical, oral & injectable medicines.
We do have a fridge in our kitchen where we can store food that needs to be refrigerated.
For most stays, we do not take a deposit for lodging and payment is collected at pick-up. For Lodge and Learns and extended stays, we do require a deposit at check-in.
Puppies must have completed all rounds of our required vaccinations (typically at 16 weeks or 4 months).
We are primarily a group play facility, and require pets to be spayed or neutered to participate in play once they reach 6 months of age. We make some exceptions based on the specific circumstances of the dog, so please speak with our of staff to discuss your needs.
Our guests enjoy four 30-minute interactive play groups each day where they’ll burn off extra energy and receive plenty of socialization with other dogs and people in our fun resort environment! They also receive two additional potty breaks, which are, in effect, mini play sessions. We never have more than 10 dogs per handler in a play group, ensuring there is sufficient supervision for safe play.
Lodging guests enjoy plenty of interaction and love from our staff. Dogs receive four play sessions in our outdoor yards, as well as two additional potty breaks with their play groups and a dog handler. Staff also interact with guests when performing wellness checks, filling up water bowls, and during feeding time. Additionally, you can add on extra activity to your pet’s stay for more fun, such as Extra Play, Extra Love, Birthday Party, Spa Services, & Snack Time. So. Much. Attention!
Comfort is one of our top priorities. Our guests stay in spacious, glass front suites that come in a variety of sizes for every type of dog. We also provide comfy fleece bedding and raised beds. We will only use crates when a situation calls for one (for example a dog recovering from surgery and needs very restricted movement).
We understand that plans change, and we don’t want to collect payment for services we did not end up providing. On the other hand, we have limited space and do not want to turn someone else away if you don’t need us. So, there is no cancellation fee, but we ask that you let us know as soon as possible so that we can accommodate others.
Our staff is trained to ensure we’re prepared for all situations and providing the safest experience possible for your pet. We honor the relationship you have with your own veterinarian and cultivate a close working relationship with them. In fact, we are located minutes away from some of the best care in the area and we have a van that can safely and comfortably transport your pet for care if needed. We have a registered Vet Technician on staff who recognizes situations that call for medical care and trains staff in handling pets & administering medicine prescribed by vets. We wouldn’t want to vacation at the doctor’s office, and we don’t think your pet wants to either, so we leave the medical care to the experts and focus on what we do best - giving your pet the best vacation ever!
Respiratory infections, like the common cold in humans, can be picked up almost anywhere dogs interact, including public spaces, parks, and even vet offices. Our facility encourages social interaction among pets, which unfortunately presents opportunities for transmission. Despite our best efforts to maintain strict cleaning procedures, wellness checks, and vaccination requirements, complete prevention is not always possible in such communal settings. While the risk is low, you should be aware of the possibility. Click here for more details.
The process begins by ensuring we have your dog’s up-to-date vaccination records on file. A senior handler then reviews your responses to the Getting to Know Our Guest form, to provide additional insight into your dog’s preferences and needs.
The behavior assessment has three components:
- How does your dog react in an off-leash, open group play environment to ensure they are a good fit for groups? Are they enjoying the experience or are they anxious, fearful or aggressive? Are they energetic and excited or calm and relaxed? A senior handler will introduce a few dogs into the yard to assess your dog’s comfort level and reactions, as well as the type of playgroup they would most enjoy.
- Is your dog comfortable in their suite during rest time?
- Does your dog interact well with handlers? Are they comfortable being touched? Do they listen when called, especially during play? How do they act when redirected?
At pickup, a senior handler will meet with you to review the results of the assessment and provide you with a Report Card that details how the first stay went. They can also answer any questions you may have.
We reassess dogs periodically throughout their life with us, but the Behavior Assessment fee only applies to that initial behavior assessment.

We require up-to-date Rabies & Feline Distemper. Additionally, outdoor cats must be on a flea, tick, & heartworm/intestinal parasite preventative.
Our feline guests enjoy individual play sessions in the cattery and will not be let out with other cats other than siblings who stay together.
During play time, cats can play with the many toys scattered throughout the room and have windows for viewing and ledges for playing and exploring.

Absolutely! Siblings can lodge together in our 4-level suite option and can also enjoy their play time together.

Dog Daycare FAQs
As soon as you know your plans. While we can often accommodate same day reservations, there are times when we have limited space. Giving us at least a day advance notice gives us the opportunity to set up your pet’s suite in advance. Also, we plan the playgroups the day before and have a strict limit to the number of pets per handler, which may mean your pet’s usual group is filled up if we don’t know you are coming. We understand that circumstances change and needs arise at the last minute, however. But whenever possible, please let us know in advance.
We assess all of our guests on their first day and assign them to an appropriate play group based on temperament, size, age & energy level. We ensure that dogs enjoy their play time and their playmates are well matched.
Daycare provides many benefits:
- Relieves boredom and anxiety
- Socialization with other dogs and people
- Burn off excess energy
- Provides routine & exercise
- Safety and peace of mind for the owner
- Plus, It’s fun!
It depends of course on your needs and the energy level of your pup. As part of the first-time guest assessment, we’ll provide a recommendation. Some dogs come every day, some just once a week.
We’d love to meet your pet! We conduct a behavior assessment for first time guests to determine what kind of play group your pup would fit best in! A reservation is required.
Dogs receive four play sessions every day included in a full day of daycare. We never have more than 10 dogs per handler in a play group, ensuring there is sufficient supervision for safe play.
We rotate the play groups so that every dog here for a full day experiences at least one trip to the pool, weather permitting. We do close the pool when it’s too cold or rainy for their comfort.
Your pet will relax and recharge in their own private, glass fronted suite. Our healthy Rest/Play Model provides plenty of exercise and stimulation without exhaustion. This balanced approach results in happier & healthier dogs. Staff will check on them regularly to ensure they are comfortable, providing water and administering meals as needed. You can add on to their stay with Snack Time, Spa services, Extra Play, and Extra Love. It’s all customizable to your pet’s needs.
We have a number of different size indoor suites, allowing us to select just the right enclosure for your pup. All suites are glass fronted, private, and spacious so that your pet is comfortable during their rest time. Our suites are all climate controlled, allowing for the perfect temperature no matter the time of year.
Due to the size and number of our play yards (5 yards across 25,000 square feet) and the variability of the rotation schedule (they are in different play yards each session), we do not open up our cameras for public viewing. It would be too difficult for you to locate your pet at any point in time. Instead, we post pictures on social media and provide daily emailed report cards with a picture for an additional fee. First time guests receive a complimentary report card detailing how they did.
You can drop off & pick any time within our lobby hours. Play groups begin around 8am, so if you want your pet to get the most out of his or her day, we recommend that you plan to be here by then!

Yes, we do! For those times when it may be inconvenient to have your cat at home, we’ll be happy to keep an eye on your feline for you. They will relax in their own private enclosure in between private play sessions in the cattery. We don’t offer group play for cats and only cats in the same family will be out together.

Dog Training FAQs
Give us a call so that we can discuss your needs and what we can do to help! We can help prevent long-term problems before they develop, help you overcome negative habits that may have taken hold, teach you how to recognize normal canine behavior and address common training issues, and more!
Absolutely! For our Lodge & Learn clients, our trainers send out email updates with photos every other day so you can keep up with your pet's progress. For our Day Training clients, there are email updates as well as multiple transfer sessions throughout the program to discuss what your dog has learned and to teach you the skills so we can partner in your dog’s success!
Our programs build the skills, habits and positive behaviors your dog needs to thrive and creates good communication between parents & pups. Although we do not address serious behavioral issues or potty training, we can teach your dog obedience skills & leash walking and address specific problems such as jumping, bolting through doors, play biting, and work on his/her socialization.
We are members of The Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), which supports a Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive (LIMA) approach to behavior modification and training. So, we use the tools and techniques that will bring the best results such as affection, treats, and toys to motivate our students. When it comes to collars and leashes, we use what will work best for the situation and include your preferences in the solution, including harnesses, martingale collars, gentle leaders, slip leads and training collars. We do not use e-collars or retractable leashes in our training.
We're teaching your dog a new language and a better way to communicate with you. The dog is 50% of the conversation - you're the other 50%. The effectiveness of training and the dog's behavior will always be influenced by the skills and demeanor of the owner/handler. For best results, you'll learn and practice your role frequently, working on confidence assertiveness, timing, use of the leash as a tool, use of treats and positive reinforcement, and effective correction.
Many people commonly believe that their dog jumps, pulls his leash, or chews your shoes to establish dominance. In reality, your dog displays this undesirable behavior because he hasn't learned the correct way. Proper training can re-establish an understanding between you and your dog.
If you let your puppy chew on everything because "that's what puppies do," you're not doing yourself or your dog any favors. Discouraging bad behavior right away forms a solid foundation for training.
