JessicaJessica Hammerman, Office Manager: “I've been with PPI for nine years and learned so much throughout my exciting career in pet care. My favorite aspects of my job as the Office Manager are managing our dynamic Wait List, preparing for all the details of holiday preparations when we are at extended maximum capacity, quality control, staff training coordination, and loving your pets. It's been the most rewarding for me to see my team exceed expectations by delivering a quality of customer service to our clients and their pets that is truly special and unique to our business.”

JessieJessie Hickerson, Pet Services Manager, Fear Free Certified: “My position as Pet Services Manager includes staff scheduling, creating and maintaining procedures and protocols, staff training, managing playgroups, supporting staff in their career paths, assisting clients with pet needs, and prioritizing pet and staff safety. I have been working at Pampered Pets Inn for over 11 years, in addition to volunteering and working at other pet facilities prior. During my time here, I played a key role in creating procedures, training manuals, safety protocols, and methods to support the development of our senior employees. Recently certified in Fear Free practices, I focus on effective communication between humans and pets, enhancing our lodging and daycare services.”

MeganMegan Staub, RVT, CCPDT-KA, Pet Services Manager: “I am responsible for the care, comfort, and safety of the pets entrusted to the Inn, whether for the day or an extended stay. This means taking the time to get to know each pet that walks through our door. I enjoy learning about their unique personalities and customizing their stay to meet their needs. I pride myself on continuing my education and learning new things about dog behavior, fear-free handling, dog training, bathing/grooming, and other areas within the pet care industry that can help me be the best I can be for your pets. During my six and a half years at PPI, I have learned many subtle nuances of dog language and behaviors. I can use this information to nurture better relationships between humans and their canine companions.”

LaurelLaurel Gainey, Lodging and Daycare Supervisor: “I have been with PPI for five and a half years. I started working at the front desk, eventually trained as a pet handler and shift lead, and am certified in the spa. My training has allowed me to move up to spa supervisor and then to lodging and daycare supervisor. Along with supervising and training staff, I perform quality control of reports and services throughout the facility. As an animal lover, I have had rabbits and currently have two pups and many chickens. In the future, I would love to have a mini farm!”

LondonLondon Teare, Spa Supervisor, Fear Free Certified Groomer: “I've been at PPI for about three years, and it feels so much longer due to everything I have learned. I started as a pet handler, which led to becoming a senior pet handler and staff trainer. From there, I moved into the spa to become a groomer, and now I pride myself on being the spa supervisor! I have had many opportunities to learn, grow, and reach for my passions. As spa supervisor, I am now leading a growing team eager to learn the best way to care for all pets and their grooming needs, whether receiving full haircuts or just a nice bath for the day.”

ClaireClaire Omerza, Human Resources / Marketing Coordinator: “I have been with PPI for four years! With a love for animals and humans alike, I found my perfect role at PPI in coordinating hiring, supporting retention, showcasing our guests' fun, and highlighting what PPI has to offer. As Marketing Coordinator, I aim to be quick, concise, entertaining, and informative with content. I enjoy curating daily posts and monthly newsletters, planning annual events and fundraisers, interacting with our community and their pets at local events, and more! As HR Coordinator, I find the individuals who share PPI's mission and promise to care for our pet guests with love, compassion, and professionalism, providing a premium experience to pets and their parents. Animal care is one of the most fun and rewarding industries. With the aid of the rest of our leadership team and amazing senior staff, we have created a welcoming and supportive environment for employees to flourish in their knowledge of animal care and teamwork skills.”
